Bodonkey Victory #2

What is it about this tourney? 2 wins, a 2nd, a 3rd, and I've only played the thing a handful of times.

It started out like a repeat of the MATH. Decent position, decent plays, then I raise QQ in EP.

In the MATH, I had a tighter image, was raised by a solid player. I knew to lay it down, but called and saw KK anyways, shipping my stack.

In this case, I had a looser image, and put a much bigger range on the reraise. Plus, AA and KK seemed less likely to jam. So, using my intuition and read of the situation, I call again.

This time it pays. Eventually, when I'm truly improved, I will be able to fold the first QQ and go 2/2.

From there it was the ol' "good cards, solid poker" strategy. I raised 78, flopped a boat, saw TT, QQ, KK, AA in the final 2 tables.

Then, since it pays bonus $109 to the top 5, everyone turns into a pushmonkey once we get to 5. I've done it, it's fun. This time, I stepped back, and made sure I was getting my money in "good", not just "lucky".

And, after losing 3 races and almost hitting the rail, I turned it around and won the rest of the races, taking it down. I was actually able to win KT vs. A7, J8 vs. A5. I hear those are 60/40, but they always seem to be "Opponent 1, Emptyman 0".

This solidifies my top-18 spot in the Bodog TOC. Time to get to work on BBT3, and in a big way.
