Hoy's even in it.
But in this new era of BR responsibility, focus, intensity, and committment, I have no choice but to pass.
BR: $564
Entry Fee: $75
Once I have the perma-bankroll, 20K or whatever, I can play this tourney EVERY SINGLE TIME. And with no fear, no care about the buyin. Free to play the best poker I know how.
I can say, with 90%+ confidence, that I would have signed up for and played this tourney in the past. Something like this:
"I can beat this field." (true)
"Better not...a bit too much for my BR, and Turbo..."
"Wait! Hoy's in it! Bonus! Gotta play now..."
"Well, I still really can't afford it. I mean the buyin puts me below 500 and I might have to go back to 1/2. Anything to stay out of that hole."
"But I can DO IT! I've done it before! And T$535 will buy my tourney entries for a week! And then the Satellite Challenge...."
And this, in the past, was where I stopped. I signed up, and played the tourney, and I promise you, the tourneys I've played in this situation are lifetime -EV. Without putting your finger on exactly "why", I bet you could easily have guessed that result.
So, today I added one new line. In fact, it's almost verbatim above:
"Once I have a permanent bankroll, I can play any tourney, any time."
See you in the ($26 buyin) $4K HORSE tourney!

Play an 8$ 75$ token one night. They run every night. Pretty easy to win a token too if your patient.
I played 1-2 O8 6-max cash to win the buyin for this event, which I too like to play whenever I can. I wouldn't play it if it weren't a turbo, but at turbo I think this is very fun. Much more fun if enough people play so that it awards two seats though instead of one.
I got donked out around the middle of the final table, I don't remember how but it was semi-ghey as I recall.
